about

Michael Dean Damron may be best known as the frontman for Portland, Oregon’s I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch In the House, but with the release of his latest solo album, “Plea from a Ghost”, that may soon change. Michael has put out a number of well received solo albums on In Music We Trust; “Plea from a Ghost” will be his first for Suburban Home. I personally am a huge fan and discovered Michael’s solo albums after becoming a big Sonofabitch fan. While i might be biased, I think that this new album has some of Michael’s greatest songs. The 11 track album was recorded in Portland, OR at 8 Ball Studios. One thing I have always loved about Damron’s albums is that he has always mixed excellent originals with fantastic covers and this new album is no exception. Of the 11 tracks, you will find covers of Antiseen, Warren Zevon, and Alejandro Escovedo. From the varied list of cover songs, you get the idea that Michael’s influences spans so many genres and songwriting styles. “Plea from a Ghost” really benefits from those varied influences. Michael’s songs are so powerful and so honest. I am really honored to be able to put out this album.
